Iran has rejected a US-proposed truce plan, calling its conditions “excessive, unrealistic and unreasonable,” according to the foreign ministry.
Officials in Tehran said the proposal, reportedly a multi-point framework delivered via intermediaries, contains demands that go beyond what Iran considers acceptable.
Iran also reiterated that there are no direct negotiations with Washington, stressing that communication has only taken place through third parties.
The foreign ministry added that Iran remains focused on defence priorities as the conflict continues, with tensions still high and no clear diplomatic breakthrough in sight.
