Iran has rejected any proposal for a temporary ceasefire with the United States, insisting that talks should focus only on a permanent peace deal.
According to reports, Iran has set strict conditions, including an immediate end to hostilities, guarantees against future attacks, and compensation for damages. Tehran has also proposed a levy of $202 million on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Reporter Pranay Upadhyay says that both the US and Iran have dismissed the idea of a temporary truce, which was reportedly suggested through mediation by Islamabad.
The situation highlights rising tensions in the region, where missile alerts and interceptions are becoming common.
