In an exclusive interview with India Today, Iranian actress Elnaz Noorouzi, who works in Hindi cinema, shared her views on the ongoing situation in Iran and the feelings of many Iranian citizens.
Speaking as an Iranian living abroad, Noorouzi claimed that many people in Iran are hoping for change and believe the current regime may fall. She said that Iranians have been asking for international help for years and pointed to the country’s economic hardships and restrictions faced by women.
During the interview, she also mentioned that protests in Iran have seen many people calling for the return of Reza Pahlavi, the former crown prince. Noorouzi discussed concerns about civilian casualties, the political situation, and why many Iranians are demanding major reforms.
