Thousands Gather in Tehran for Funeral of Revolutionary Guard Navy Chief | India Today
Thousands of mourners gathered in Tehran on Wednesday for the funeral of Commodore Alireza Tangsiri, the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Navy. The crowds held Iranian flags and anti-US placards while chanting “Death to Israel.” Tangsiri was killed in an Israeli airstrike last week, with Iran acknowledging his death only on Monday. Israel’s Defense Minister stated that Tangsiri was responsible for operations blocking ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
