US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran over its choice of Mojtaba as the country’s supreme leader, stating he is disappointed with the decision and that Mojtaba will add to Iran’s problems. Trump claims the ongoing West Asia war will end very soon, asserting that the US has already won in many ways. He warns that if Iran disrupts oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz, the US will hit Iran at a level not seen before. Trump claims US strikes have destroyed most of Iran’s naval power, with 51 ships sunk, and reduced Iran’s missile capability to about 10 percent. He states the US has struck over 5,000 targets and is ahead of its initial timeline. Trump emphasises the US will escort tankers through the strait if needed and has reserved striking critical infrastructure targets for later if required.
