Iran has launched a massive barrage of missiles targeting central Israel, causing multiple impact sites in areas including Tel Aviv and Petah Tikva. According to Magen David Adom, a 34-year-old woman was seriously injured by interception fragments in Petah Tikva, while a 30-year-old man sustained injuries from glass shards in Tel Aviv. Reports also indicate that an Iranian missile struck an Israeli drone factory. India Today’s Pranay Upadhyay, reporting from Haifa, noted that over 900 missile alerts were sounded across Israel within a single hour, highlighting the intensity of the escalation. This surge in hostilities comes as US President Donald Trump issued a stern, expletive-laden warning to Tehran, demanding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz by a self-imposed Tuesday deadline or face sweeping military strikes. While Israel’s missile defence systems intercepted approximately 90% of the incoming fire, the continuous attacks on civilian and economic infrastructure have raised significant concerns regarding a wider regional conflict.
