Iran claims its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps ground forces hit the United States Arifjan base in Kuwait with precision-guided missiles. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard made this claim as part of what appears to be a series of attacks on American military establishments and assets in the region. Iran has reportedly targeted locations in Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain and other places. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had earlier indicated that Iran would not attack neighbouring countries unless their soil was used to launch attacks on Iran, stating Iran reserves the right to retaliate in such cases. Iran has continued targeting American military bases and interests in the region, demonstrating its capacity to strike back at US assets. The Arifjan base claim represents the latest in Iran’s attacks on allies of the United States.
