The government has written to all state governments and union territories requesting deemed approval for pending PNG pipeline permissions and 24-hour approval for new applications. Officials stated that the LPG situation remains worrisome but there is no dryout at any LPG distributor, with delivery of cylinders continuing as before for domestic consumers. About 94% of cylinder bookings are now happening online. Enforcement action has intensified with approximately 12,000 raids conducted and 15,000 cylinders seized across states. Two LPG carriers, Shivalik and Nanda Devi, reached Kandla port, with discharge operations underway. The Ministry of External Affairs reported that around 244,000 passengers have returned from West Asia since February 28. External Affairs Minister attended the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels. Indian nationals continue to be evacuated from Iran through Armenia and Azerbaijan, with 130 pilgrims expected to arrive in Delhi today.
