The government held an inter-ministerial briefing providing updates on LPG supply, shipping operations, and the situation of Indians in the Gulf region. States and Union Territories have been offered 10% additional commercial LPG allocation if they expedite the expansion of City Gas Distribution (CGD) networks. Regarding LPG supply, 93% of bookings are now online, with delivery authentication code usage improving from 53% to 81%. About 15 states and Union Territories have issued commercial LPG allocation orders. All Indian ships and seafarers, including 611 vessels west of the Strait of Hormuz, remain safe with no incidents reported. In the past 24 hours, 25 Indian seafarers were repatriated. The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that Prime Minister spoke to the UAE President regarding the West Asia situation. Around 2,60,000 passengers have returned from the Gulf region to India since 28 February. The Indian Embassy in Tehran is assisting students, and land border transit advisories have been issued for those travelling to Armenia and Azerbaijan.
