World No. 2 shuttler Anders Antonsen of Denmark took to social media to reveal why he was not participating in the ongoing India Open 2026. This is the third consecutive year that the Dane has not taken part in the tournament in Delhi, and he had very good reasons not to do so.
In a post shared on his Instagram story, he revealed that Delhi’s extreme pollution was the big deterrent behind his unavailability for the tournament, adding that the world badminton body fined him USD 5000 for withdrawing.
