India is taking decisive steps to fully utilize its share of Indus waters. The Jal Shakti Ministry is working on multiple projects, including 10 hydropower projects totaling 6.8 gigawatts in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. These projects, worth 68,000 crore rupees, aim to stop excess water from flowing into Pakistan. Additionally, eight hydropower projects have been cleared for Ladakh.
