India’s air defense system, including Akash missiles and L-70 guns, successfully thwarted Pakistani missiles and drones targeting Punjab cities, including Amritsar’s Golden Temple. The multi-layered defense system neutralized over 600 drones across 26 cities, protecting both military and civilian areas. Major General Kartik Seshadri stated that India had received intelligence about potential attacks on religious sites and deployed additional air defense measures accordingly.
