Group Captain Subhanshu Shukla has returned to India after his historic Axiom 4 mission, during which he became the first Indian to set foot on the International Space Station. He landed at Delhi’s IGI airport on July 15 and was welcomed by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Minister of State for Space Jitendra Singh. In a social media post, Shukla stated he is "eager to share his experiences with friends and colleagues back home after receiving incredible love and support from everyone during and after the mission." His space journey is scheduled to be discussed in Parliament on Monday. Shukla is also expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and participate in the National Space Day celebrations on August 22 and 23. His return is significant as ISRO prepares for the Gaganyaan, India’s human space flight program, for which his experience will be instrumental.
