Indian scientists have captured detailed observations of 3I/ATLAS from the Mount Abu observatory, revealing that the interstellar comet is behaving much like a typical solar-system comet. Using PRL’s 1.2-metre telescope in both imaging and spectroscopic modes, researchers tracked its coma structure as the object moved out of the inner solar system. The findings show a near-circular coma formed through sublimation near the Sun, adding critical insights into its physical behavior.
