Indian origin scientists have discovered potential signs of alien life on exoplanet K2-18b, located 124 light years from Earth. The James Webb telescope detected gases typically produced by algae, suggesting possible microbial life or a habitable environment. Professor Nikku Madhusudhan from the University of Cambridge called it ‘the strongest evidence to date of a biosignature molecule outside the solar system’. Further research is needed to confirm these findings.
