Indian Army Opens Fire On Suspected Pakistani Drone in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri
In a concerning escalation of activities along the LoC, the Indian army has opened fire on the Pakistani drones in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri. According to reports, several rounds were fired by the army to tackle the drones.
Security forces were placed on high alert following a series of drone sightings across the Jammu region. The activity began in the Mankote sector near the LoC, where drones hovered for several minutes, and continued with subsequent reports from Rajouri’s Dharamsal village, Reasi’s Bharakh village, and the Ramgarh sector in Samba.
According to reports, security forces are scouring the border on foot after five drones were spotted overhead. The massive sweep aims to intercept any weapons or drugs that may have been air-dropped into Indian territory with the help of the drones.
Authorities are also working to determine where the drone came from and where it was headed. With regional tensions already high, security agencies have ramped up their search efforts and have also alerted troops across the region to heighten security measures.
