US President Donald Trump has signed tariff letters to 12 countries, offering take-it-or-leave-it deals amid a global trade war. Tariffs over 10% have been suspended for 90 days to allow for negotiations. India and the US have completed trade talks with a positive outlook, particularly addressing concerns in agriculture and dairy sectors. The new tariff letters are set to be issued at 9:30 PM, with tariffs taking effect on August 1st. Trump stated, ‘Letters out on Monday having to do with the trade deals could be 12, maybe 15.’ The US has finalized agreements with the UK and Vietnam while reaching an interim truce with China. Talks with Japan and the European Union have not yet yielded breakthroughs.
