India and the United States have signed a 32,000 crore deal for the acquisition of 31 Predator drones, marking a significant boost for India’s defence capabilities. The deal also includes the establishment of a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility in India. The drones, identified as MQ-90 models, will be distributed among the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The total value of the contract is expected to rise to about 34,500 crores. The deal is seen as a major step in strengthening the India-US relationship.
