In a significant political development amid Delhi’s worsening air quality, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has apologised to the people, stating it is ‘impossible’ to fix the crisis in just 9-10 months. Blaming the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress governments for ‘inheriting’ the problem, Sirsa announced strict measures including a ban on fuel for vehicles without valid PUC certificates and restricting non-BS-VI vehicles.
