Striking visuals have emerged of mostly children trying to find escape routes by breaking into huts in a desperate bid to save their lives at actor-politician Vijay’s campaign rally in Tamil Nadu’s Karur. At least 39 people, including 10 children, died at the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief’s rally.
At the UN, India’s S Jaishankar called Pakistan an "epicentre of global terrorism," cited the Pahalgam attack, and urged global action to choke terror financing, condemn state-backed terror, and uphold shared security.
