India Today correspondents Ashraf Ghani and Pranay Upadhyay report from Lebanon and Israel on day 27 of the West Asia war. South Lebanon has been almost cut off from the rest of the country after Israel destroyed several bridges on the river Litany. The region faces relentless bombing by the Israeli Defence Forces targeting alleged Hezbollah positions, with ordinary citizens caught in the crossfire. In Basaria village, a family of four was killed in aerial bombings by the IDF. Nearly 60 aerial strikes targeted 60 structures which the IDF alleged were Hezbollah premises. Fuel stations across the region were also targeted, with Israel alleging they belong to Hezbollah, aiming to cut off fuel supplies for Hezbollah fighters. Israel is facing counterattacks from both Iran and Hezbollah, with missile strikes causing damage. The report highlights the deepening conflict and rising human cost with each passing day.
