India Today conducted a ground reality check on Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi’s allegation of voter manipulation in Bengaluru Central constituency, zeroing in on Booth No. 470 in Mahadevapura, part of the city’s IT corridor near the Outer Ring Road.
The focus was House No. 35 in Muni Reddy Garden, which Gandhi claimed had nearly 80 voters fraudulently registered. The property, barely 10-15 sq ft in size, is currently occupied by Dipankar, a food delivery worker from West Bengal who moved in just a month ago. He said he had no voter registration in Bengaluru and did not recognise the names on the electoral roll linked to that address.
