The ship’s mission is to provide repair, rearmament, and resupply services to submarines at sea or in port, extending their operational reach. The vessel is equipped with extensive repair facilities, including machine shops, welding capabilities, and electronics repair. It also has a comprehensive medical bay with dental services and handles weapons like Mark 48 torpedoes and Tomahawk cruise missiles. Executive Officer Michael Rodriguez stated, “Our job is to rearm, resupply, and repair submarines anywhere in the world. A submarine doesn’t have to go all the way back to their home port.
