India Today is the only television channel currently reporting from Tyre city in South Lebanon. The city is almost entirely cut off from the rest of Lebanon, with only a small link road still accessible. Inputs suggest the Israel Defense Forces may disconnect this last remaining road within days, completely isolating South Lebanon’s Tyre from Beirut. The IDF has partially captured the town of Naqoura on the Mediterranean coast, where ground battles continue between IDF soldiers and Hezbollah fighters. The Israeli military’s strategy aims to isolate Hezbollah and cut off weapon and logistics supplies from the rest of the country. Despite IDF claims of destroying Hezbollah’s missile and drone capabilities, the militant group continues firing drones and missiles towards northern Israel, raising questions about their remaining arms stockpile in southern Lebanon.
