Cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, ending a 15-year-long career. In an exclusive conversation with India Today, the batsman known as ‘India’s modern-day wall’ reflected on his journey since his 2010 debut. Pujara played 103 tests, scoring 7,195 runs with 19 centuries. He identified the two test series wins on Australian soil in 2018-19 and 2020-21 as his most cherished memories. He stated that his decision to retire was a personal call to allow younger players an opportunity. "This was my personal call and I decided that this is the right time when young players should get an opportunity in domestic cricket," Pujara said.
