Aaditya Thackeray, an Uddhav-Sena MLA, denounced the Badlapur event, describing it as a betrayal of fundamental human values and an oversight of Eknath Shinde’s government. He emphasized how the breakdown of governance was demonstrated by the fact that a mother of a three-year-old child had to frequently attend the police station in order to submit a FIR. Speaking on a similar incident, Thackeray said that a "Shinde" was killed in order to save a "Apte," implying that there are more serious injustices in the current system.
