India has conducted strikes on 9 terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Foreign Secretary Vikram Mishra described the action as measured, non-escalatory, proportionate and responsive. The strikes targeted camps in Kotli Gulpur, Bimber, and Bahawalpur, among others. Officials cited a 30-year history of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism against India, including attacks on Parliament, 26/11 Mumbai attacks, and recent incidents in Pehalgam and Riyasi.
