India has signed an intergovernmental agreement with France to procure 26 Rafale marine fighter jets for the Indian Navy at an estimated cost of ₹64,000 crore. The deal, finalized during a virtual event, will strengthen India’s maritime capabilities. The advanced jets, capable of long-range precision strikes, will be deployed aboard aircraft carriers INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya.
