India has launched retaliatory strikes on major Pakistani cities including Lahore and Karachi in response to Pakistan’s attacks on Indian military and civilian installations. The Indian government has put border districts on high alert, with schools and educational institutes closed for three days. Major General Sanjay Mestin states, ‘Pakistan army has to be brought on to the knees and that will only happen when the people of Pakistan start feeling the pinch.’
