India and Pakistan have reached an understanding on stopping firing and military action. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar stated that India maintains its firm stance against terrorism. The ceasefire was initiated by Pakistan’s DGMO through a call to the Indian DGMO. The agreement is limited to ceasefire, with no decision to hold talks on any other issues. The government emphasized that this does not change India’s position on Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
