Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Israel has resulted in 27 outcomes from bilateral talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, including 16 signed agreements and 11 announcements. The agreements span multiple sectors including agriculture, artificial intelligence, defence, cybersecurity, and quantum computing. Modi called for a peaceful resolution in West Asia, stating that humanity cannot be victim of conflict, and urged dialogue and diplomacy to end the long-standing dispute. The partnership aims to elevate India-Israel ties to a special strategic partnership. Key outcomes include establishing centres of excellence in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, creating excellence villages in India to implement Israeli technology in water conservation and desalination, and integrating India’s UPI digital payment system in Israel. An India-Israel Free Trade Agreement is expected to be concluded by year-end.
