The Indian government has assured there is no shortage of crude oil or LPG despite concerns over supplies stuck in the Strait of Hormuz. Government sources state India currently has more crude available domestically than what is stranded in the strategic waterway. Authorities have ordered refineries to increase LPG production and are reprioritising crude usage to meet domestic needs. The assurance comes amid fears of escalating crude prices, with a minister in Qatar suggesting oil could reach 150 dollars per barrel if the West Asia crisis continues. India is maintaining daily conversations with UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar to assess the situation, while keeping the Russia supply route open. The government has urged citizens not to panic and to trust that sufficient crude oil reserves are available for the foreseeable future.
