Manipur is facing a new threat as drones have been used to drop improvised explosive devices and grenades in two recent attacks. The Manipur government has condemned these attacks, attributing them to suspected Kuki militants. The first attack targeted unarmed villagers in Kotruk, resulting in two deaths and multiple injuries. A second attack injured three people in Imphal West District. The state government is seeking assistance from the National Security Guard and Assam Rifles to counter this new form of terror.
