India has decided to take decisive steps to ensure not a single drop of water is given to Pakistan under the Indus Waters Treaty. A high-level meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah discussed a three-pronged strategy involving short-term, medium-term, and long-term measures. India has formally notified Pakistan about the suspension of the treaty, citing changes in fundamental aspects and Pakistan’s promotion of cross-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
