Members of Parliament from the India bloc initiated a protest march towards the Election Commission. Delhi Police detained approximately 300 MPs, citing a lack of permission for the demonstration and the enforcement of Section 144 in the Parliament area. Leaders including Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi were among those detained in buses. Akhilesh Yadav was observed jumping over police barricades during the march. During the detention, a Member of Parliament, Mahua Moitra, reportedly fainted, with other individuals also appearing to faint, attributed to the prevailing temperature and humidity. The protest addresses allegations of vote manipulation. One speaker stated, ‘vote Ki kaise Hera pheri ho rahi hai. Chori ho rahi hai, dakaiti ho rahi hai.’ The opposition demands the Election Commission address these claims. Paramilitary forces were deployed during the protest, which occurred outside the Parliament premises.
