Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla becomes the first Indian astronaut to reach the International Space Station in 40 years. As part of the Axiom 4 mission, he will spend 14 days conducting experiments in microgravity. The mission aims to study the effects of space on human physiology and cognitive functions. Shukla’s journey is seen as a stepping stone for India’s Gaganyaan mission planned for 2027.
