President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of two United States nuclear submarines in response to what he termed a ‘highly provocative statement’ from Russia’s former president, Dmitry Medvedev. Announcing the move in a social media post, President Trump stated, ‘I have ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in the appropriate region, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that’.
