Dr CA Ankur Agarwal, Chairman and Founder of B&W Developments, shared insights on UAE real estate growth at India Today Conclave 2025 through a virtual message. He described how B&W Developments has grown from a 135 square foot office to managing over 32 billion AED in development value across 28 plus assets. Agarwal highlighted the UAE’s response to regional security challenges, noting that the nation intercepted 189 ballistic missiles, 941 drones and eight cruise missiles. He emphasized the India-UAE economic partnership, stating bilateral trade has crossed USD 85 billion and is moving towards 100 billion dollars since the CEPA agreement in 2022. On investment opportunities, Agarwal said, ‘In India we check Kundalis before the marriage. In the UAE investors check escrow accounts before the installment.’ He noted that Ras Al Khaimah recorded over 35,000 crores in real estate transactions in 2024, with growth over 100 percent year on year, and property prices in Al Marjan Island trading at three times the original cost.
