Scientists have discovered that S-cluster stars near the Galactic Center might be feeding on dark matter, granting them cosmic immortality. Unlike regular stars, which eventually collapse into white dwarfs, black holes, or neutron stars, these stars seem to defy the natural aging process. Researchers believe that the high density of dark matter in this region acts as an alternative fuel source, making them appear younger and more massive than expected. However, our Sun is too far from the Galactic Center to accumulate enough dark matter and will eventually die in about 5 billion years. Studying these immortal stars offers new insights into dark matter and its interactions with ordinary matter.
