The video shows the Israeli jet locking onto the Iranian aircraft before shooting it down. The Israeli Air Force’s F-35I jets are produced by America but fitted with Israeli weapon systems and modified for Israeli operational needs. The Iranian YAK-130 is a Russian-made Soviet-era jet that has been refurbished and was recently inducted into the Iranian Air Force. The incident occurred over Iranian airspace, with the IDF and US claiming this demonstrates their dominance over the region. The footage was released to substantiate yesterday’s reports of the Iranian jet being shot down. According to the report, this marks the first time an F-35I has conducted such an operation.
