Delhi Police have arrested five more people in connection with the deaths of three civil service aspirants who drowned in the flooded basement of a coaching centre in Rajinder Nagar, bringing the total number of arrests to seven.

The police sent a notice to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Seeking documents about the drainage system in Old Rajinder Nagar, the police in the notice questioned the municipal corporation about the officer responsible for the drainage system in the area. The police also asked if the drainage work was handed over on contract.
