A Jaguar fighter jet of the Indian Air Force has crashed near Churu in Rajasthan. The pilot’s body was found in the wreckage. Video footage from the crash site shows the plane disintegrated on impact, with fire visible in parts. Local villagers rushed to the scene. The aircraft crashed in an open field, possibly in an attempt to avoid populated areas. The Indian Air Force is ascertaining details and is expected to order a court of inquiry to investigate the cause of the crash.
