Purie, who has overseen more than 2,000 magazine covers, reiterated his core editorial mantra: "Why now? Who cares? What next?", emphasizing the need for stories to be topical and nationally relevant. In a significant decision reflecting India Today’s commitment to ground reporting, Purie affirmed he would prioritize sending a reporter into Tehran, despite the risks. Kalli Purie, Vice Chairperson of the India Today Group, confirmed the network’s dedication to frontline coverage, revealing that four reporters were already deployed in various war zones and efforts were underway to secure a visa for Tehran.
