So that is the good thing about BJP.’ He indicated that the party has not yet defined a full-time role for him and that he is currently enjoying a ‘breather’ to focus on organic farming in Coimbatore. Annamalai expressed his willingness to contest in the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections if the party believes it will make a difference. Regarding the upcoming polls, he emphasised the importance of a strong alliance with the ADMK, stating they should have ‘enough number of seats’ while the BJP should have a ‘respectable number’. He suggested that the alliance should aim to peak its momentum in February or March, closer to the election.
