In an exclusive interview with India Today, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressed the ongoing power tussle within the Congress party. He reiterated his intention to complete a full five-year term as Chief Minister, dismissing speculation about a leadership change. Siddaramaiah refuted claims of a two-and-a-half-year power-sharing agreement with Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. He also discussed the implementation of guarantee schemes, asserting there is no shortage of funds. The Chief Minister addressed allegations of corruption, claiming that central agencies like the Enforcement Directorate are targeting only Congress MLAs and ministers. Siddaramaiah expressed confidence in his government’s performance, stating there is no anti-incumbency sentiment in Karnataka.
