The asteroid, named 16 Psyche, is located in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter and is composed primarily of metallic elements like iron and nickel. Scientists believe that the asteroid could be the exposed core of a planetesimal, which never fully formed into a planet. With an estimated worth of around $10,000 quadrillion, Psyche has intrigued researchers for years.
