NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has captured a stunning sight — a black hole devouring a star, creating a bright explosion 600 million light-years away. Dubbed "Space Jaws," the event marks the first time a tidal disruption event (TDE) has been observed from a black hole that’s not at the center of its galaxy. Even more surprising, another supermassive black hole sits nearby, following the usual cosmic rules. Scientists believe the two could eventually merge, though not anytime soon. This rare discovery opens the door to finding more rogue black holes across the universe.
