Karaswadi village near Bengaluru-Mysuru highway revived traditional jaggery production by forming the Mandya Jaggery Farmers Producer Company. Over 1,000 local farmers united to produce chemical-free jaggery under the brand ‘Keeremadi’. Initially selling modestly, they now sell 15 tonnes monthly, aiming for 50 tonnes by December 2024, focusing on purity and tradition.
