The US launched new strikes in Yemen, according to Houthi media. It claimed that the US military had attacked the Hodeidah city airport three times. According to the Houthi spokesperson, the rebels targeted Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv in three separate attacks on Israel in a 48-hour period. The airport was no longer safe for aviation travel, the official noted. In Yemen, the strikes left at least 53 people dead and more than 100 injured. In the meantime, American vessels were frequently attacked by Houthis in the Red Sea. Commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden have long been the target of attacks by Iran-backed Houthis in retaliation for Israel’s Gaza offensive.
