Home Minister Amit Shah outlined the government’s anti-drug measures, stating they have burned drugs worth Rs 3.36 lakh crore and seized 31 lakh kg in 5 years. He said 6.56 lakh drug cases were filed compared to 1.73 lakh under UPA. Shah highlighted the use of drones and satellites to destroy opium cultivation, and efforts to rehabilitate addicts. He also discussed new criminal laws and initiatives to modernise the justice system.
